Author's Note:
I plan to write 5 10k episodes during the challenge. I've basically picked an event for each episode but I've not plotted the outcome of the events. This is the closest I can come to pantsing a series like this.

The Revenant—eternal spirits—have merged with the people of earth for thousands of years. To some, the joining of two souls is an honor, and to others, it is a nightmare. The enduring existence of the Revenant is Earth’s most guarded secret and her best weapon against any species that would wish to conquer her. Gaius Marius is one of the oldest Revenants to continue to seek a physical existence. Things take a dangerous turn in Pegasus when he is forced to seek a new anchor.

Marius Amid the Ruins of Carthage by John Vanderlyn.

“Gaius Marius (157 BC – January 13, 86 BC) was a Roman general and statesman. He held the office of consul an unprecedented seven times during his career. He was also noted for his important reforms of Roman armies, authorizing recruitment of landless citizens, eliminating the manipular military formations, and reorganizing the structure of the legions into separate cohorts. Marius defeated the invading Germanic tribes (the Teutones, Ambrones, and the Cimbri), for which he was called “the third founder of Rome.” His life and career were significant in Rome’s transformation from Republic to Empire.” Read More

About Keira Marcos

In my spare time, I write fan fiction and lead a cult of cock worshippers on Facebook. It's not the usual kind of hobby for a "domestic engineer" in her 40's but we live in a modern world and I like fucking with people's expectations.

  13. I’ve really loved what you’ve put together here Keira! Course now I’m curious as to whether you’ve based your Revenant concept purely on the mythos or if you’ve pulled in ideas from elsewhere.
