Genii send A bomb through stargate

Did this happen in canon, or was it just a part of Keira's Sentinels of Atlantis? I thought it really happened [in the show] but I can't find it anywhere.

Can anyone help please?

The Genii traded two of their bombs to Atlantis for some C4, and John later used one of those bombs to destroy a Hive, surviving only due to a last minute beam out.

Yeah, that's the only one I could find. I thought that the time the Genii try to blow up the city by sending a bomb through the gate - it bounces against the shield and doesn't come through - was canon. I'm pretty sure now that it was Keira's idea.

My head canon is very different from actual canon now, and I keep mixing them up! I mean John has three brothers doesn't he? I'm not sure if I could even enjoy watching the series again, but then - David Hewlett and Joe Flannigan...
