Members of the military and NDAs

I know civilians need to sign NDAs when they are brought in on classified projects but would a member of the military also need to sign one or is that covered by their Oath and orders they receive? Specifically, would John Sheppard have needed to sign an NDA when he was brought in on the Stargate and the Atlantis Expedition? Or in general, would any member of the military being transferred into the program need to sign an NDA before they were informed about the program?

Here is an example of one for the US Army: https://hrvg.org/library/nda.html

And here is an article on the one that Navy SEALS sign: https://www.theatlantic.com/national/archive/2012/09/pentagon-discloses-non-disclosure-agreement-navy-seals-sign/323885/

Thank you so much!

When you enlist and are discharged from service is when you sign the NDA paperwork, while you are in your expected to already know.  So, at the time he was enlisted he would have signed one. Some special forces, like Seals, Drivers, etc would have to sign more paperwork including NDA on their entry into those forces, but not necessarily on an assignment or upon getting to that duty station.  I don't personally watch stargate so sorry I can't be more helpful.
