So Heated Rivalry has eaten my brain, and Ilya and Shane are my new OTP. However, 9-1-1 continues to own my soul, even if some of the writing decisions in recent seasons have hurt my soul. So here I am combining the two. I will say that beyond Buck and Maddie, there likely will not be any other 9-1-1 characters popping up, but who knows.

It’s taken blood, sweat and tears, but Buck has made it to the NHL, and even gotten drafted to the Boston Bears. It’s everything he’s ever wanted. Now though, he has to deal with a sister who still avoids him even though they now live in the same city, a captain who has his own secrets, and figure out if he even wants a relationship with his parents. At least he’s part of a team now, right?

Author Notes

So, timeline has shifted to accommodate my ideas. Ilya and Shane are now 4 years older than Buck. They were drafted in 2009, so Buck was drafted in 2013, meaning his rookie season is the 2013-2014 season. I know that it is very rare for goalies to be drafted and then immediately make the roster of their drafted teams, what with the limited number of spots for goalies in comparison to other positions, and how teams want more developed goalies for their roster. Buck is just going to be a very good goalie, with the added factor of other Boston goalie prospects having been injured. Forgive any glaring errors when it comes to the actual hockey, I have researched more about hockey in the last couple months than I have in the last decade thanks to Heated Rivalry.
Also, Maddie and Doug live in Boston for this. They did not move back to Pennsylvania.

  1. I really like the premise behind this.
