Tony DiNozzo dies because of his blind loyalty to people who never returned it. He's given the chance to go back; he thinks it's to fix the mistakes he made the first time, but he unexpectedly wakes up in the past, further back than he expected. He finds himself facing his partner in Philadelphia at the end of the Macaluso case, with Fate nudging him to follow a different path. He wonders if his first life was ever the path he was supposed to walk.

Author Notes
Due to syncing up some timeline issues between NCIS and 9-1-1, I have Tony slightly older than I’ve written him in other stories (though younger than canon eventually placed his birthday since they lazily went with MW’s birthdate). The dates aren’t particularly germane to the overall story, but if anyone references the character bio I have for Tony on my site, they’ll find some specific events in this story a little sus.
As for Lou, I tend to write him older in stories where he’s paired with Tony (same age as Tony or slightly older), and then about 8-10 years younger in non-Tony stories. Author handwave of convenience.
I have in mind a couple of other fandoms to bring in, but I’m going to wait until I get there to decide if the reward is worth the effort. I’ll update the attribution list if appropriate.
I’ve been poring over my timeline for days, and I think I’ve got things locked in correctly with the story starting in 1999.
Looking forward to this. Lou / Tony ship sounds amazing.
I love the way you write Tony! looking forward to this! :D :D :D
